DIY V-neck Tiered Dress

Image
Hello, I made three dresses to wear on my trip to Bangkok during the Easter holiday and this dress is the first one I made. I will share another two in the next posts.  I started working on this dress two weeks before the trip and I'm glad I managed to finish it on time, as well as my other dresses.  This dress was fun and relaxing to sew because I made one before in a midi length, so this time I shortened the length until my knee and sewed it easily. For the fabric, I used a printed rayon from my stash and white cotton lining leftover from my previous make. For the pattern, I used my self-drafted pattern. At first, I didn't want to add the lining but I had to because the fabric was a bit transparent, the lining fabric wasn't enough and I connected the pieces to make the back skirt. Here is the look of the fabric after cutting and the skirt was pieces of a rectangle: the first tiers - front and back, the last tier on the fold ( I forgot to take the p

July MAGAM - Floral Shift Dress

Image
Hello, I have finished my floral dress and I will be wearing this dress on a very special occasion next month :) So, I decided to just show you the dress in the dress form for now. Then I will post pictures of me wearing it on that day. Well, I started work on this dress in the end of May but I was stuck with the neckline. I didn't know exactly what I wanted the neckline to be and then after the dress hanging for so long in the dress form, I just decided to make the neckline exactly same as my previous dress. Problem solved! Pattern and materials: For the pattern, I used Burdastyle Vintage Modern Jamie Shift Dress size 34 with some modifications. You can check the detail here in my previous dress For the materials - I used 2 yards of floral cotton, fusible interfacing, ready-made bias tape in orange color, invisible zipper, hook n eye and same color thread. Sewing process: Most of the sewing process is exactly like my previous dress  but this time the neckline fini

Easy Pajama Shorts

Hi everyone, I made these pajama shorts especially for my dear husband. He needed some new shorts to wear at home, so I decided to make two for him. The two fabrics are from stash and I still have leftover to make t-shirt for me :) I made the blue one a month ago and already made a t-shirt from the leftover fabric, you can see it  here . And I finished the green one two days ago, the leftover fabric is still huge. Maybe I will make a t-shirt, but I am not sure when I will work with it. We will see.. Pattern: I followed step by step tutorials from Craftsy.com - it's very easy and quick project to make. You can check out the link, here Materials: Both of the fabrics are knit cotton in green and dark blue color, 1" elastic for the waist band, buttons as front decoration and same color of thread. For the sewing process is very easy, I followed the tutorials from Craftsy but I added button on the front shorts and I sew the hem line using twin needle. And here are t

Finished Magam June Outfit

Image
Hello everyone, Sorry for my late post! Here is my June  MAGAM outfit based on Burdastyle patterns.. T-shirt details, Simple style t-shirt, nothing fancy but perfect for everyday wear.   Pattern and modification: For the pattern, I used Burda t-shirt pattern 06/2008 - 113 size 34. You can check out my first version here.   As you all see that my first version was fine but I am not so happy with how the neckline turned out, so I decided to raise the front neckline 2 cm and I used smaller neckband 1 cm.   Materials: 1.5 yards of knit cotton in white color, stay tape for the shoulder lines, and white color thread.   For the sewing process, you all can see here in  my first version . But I omitted the contrast stitching and made the neckband smaller. And  I think that the neckband turned out well :-) Here are the pictures of the t-shirt - front and back views,     Skirt details, Very cute and girly floral skirt, it has a slight flare and decorative l
